Herniated Disk In Neck

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
New Hamburg, Ontario

I supposedly have a herniated disk in my neck, not sure where, and it is pinching the nerve running down my left arm and hand. The pain is horrendous not only in the neck, but in the shoulder and arm. I can't sit, or lie down to sleep because either side bothers the nerve. Has anyone had surgery to correct this issue? The orthopedic surgeon I saw said no as I could likely become paralyzed. This has been going on for 3 years and I need an answer.

Who Else Became Terribly Depressed With Chronic Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Winter Haven, FL

How long did it take for u to get depressed once u started having pain every day? What treatments did you have to help..
Other than therapy and antidepressants?
I've used music , art and other distractions but sometimes that stuff doesn't help. And what happens when u can't hardly walk because of the pain? Do u just fade into seclusion? How do you get up and going when u feel like giving up?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
New York, NY

Great news guys! I found a doctor, unfortunately my insurance denied my meds (Oxy 15mg 90tab), so I am going to have to pay out of pocket. I am totally fine with that, but as I mentioned before I’ve been out of work for a year.. which chain pharmacy is cheap as of now cvs is at 48 after a 50$ coupon . Rite aid is at 198.

A MyChronicPainTeam Member

Have you tried the GoodRx app? They'll give you coupons & you can find the lowest prices in your area!
