Any Recommendations For A Pain Specialist In Nyc!

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
New York, NY

I’ve been in pain for a year after neck surgery. Motorcycle accident the result 5 fractures vertebrae’s. I tried everything and honestly oxycodone makes the pain at the very least tolerable. The moment I get up from bed I am in pain, I can’t stand or sit too long because it hurts so damn much. I have a baby on the way. I need to work, but I haven’t found a doctor in nyc willing to help me. Can anyone suggest a doctor that actually cares for their patients.

Did You Know??

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Rio Dell, CA

Came across this and figured I would share
These are called "Bay leaves"
Many people add bay leaves to foods especially jollof rice (Nigerian), red meat and poultry but do you know why bay leaves are added to food?
When asked why, some reply: to add flavor to the food👐

Do you know that If you boil some bay leaves in a glass of water and taste it, it will have no flavor?
Now why do you put bay leaves in the meat?

The addition of bay leaves to meat converts triglycerides to monounsaturated… read more

What Works Better For Pain, Wellbutrin Or Effexor?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Carson City, NV

Currently taking wellbutrin and wondering if anyone else has had better relief with effexor?. Use sumstriptan for migraines. It has effect on seretonin which seems to have a positive effect as well as stops migraine

A MyChronicPainTeam Member

I I use Imitrex and also am on Wellbuterine. Sp. It acts as a stimulant and shows up on a Drug Screen as a Amphetamine, so pain doc needs.to know you are on it. Both of these work well with me.

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Rio Dell, CA

Recently started seeing a Pain Psychologist!! After decades of PAIN, Stanford University offered me a Pain Psychologist. I thought how ridiculous but travel the 600 miles round trip for my 45 minute appointment which has changed my world of Pain. It doesn’t take away the pain. It doesn’t minimize the pain. But it does help me Deal with the pain in ways I never imagined. Did you know that 20 minutes of diaphoretic breathing ( belly breathing) a day for 5 weeks retrains you’re brain to deal… read more
