Has Anyone Had A Pain Pump & A Scs?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Carlisle, OH

My Dr. is talking about putting in a pain pump & changing me from nortiptolene to gabapantin. All would be used in combination with the spinal cord stimulator. Please understand that my body is the exception not the rule. I suffer from crps in my back, left lower leg (just below knee), & in my left foot. I have had 7 surgeries on my leg/foot already. I have to go see a cardiovascular surgeon on the 30th. I have decreased circulation in my leg/foot. Also, my foot has a purple tint to it. Worst… read more

Alone Or Not? Potential Lockdown

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
St. George, UT

I barely fully recovered from the flu after about two weeks. Of course I got secondary infections because that's how it goes, right? Now, with the possibility of a national lockdown, I am torn between being alone and hoping I don't need help and flares don't happen, or going to my new boyfriend's home just in case.

Thoughts?

How Do You Handle Your Pain Without Any Pain Meds?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Detroit, MI

Back in January my pain doctor said he plans on lowering my pain meds because he said I've reached my " limit".
( Ive been on pain meds since 2008).
My next appointment is on monday so ill find out IF & WHEN he will stop them all together.
Anyway, I was just wondering how everyone is dealing with the med cutbacks & if anyone has any helpful tips to manage the pain.

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I wasn't called a junkie to my face. After about 2 years in constant pain, I made a visit to my family Dr. He told me that's what's recorded on my file from one hospital. I was mortified and so angry.

I understand that honey. I think I have a mark in my file too
