When Do You Go To The ER For Abdominal Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Cocoa, FL

I have undiagnosed severe abdominal pain which makes me unable to eat alot and the last few weeks my stomach keeps gwtting bigger. I dont usually go to the er for the pain unless ive hit a new level of pain and ive been there for an hour. I did that the other day and i was humiliated by the doctor and treated like a druggie. I dont know what to do anymore so in reevaluating the conditions in which i go there and i wanted to know what your opionions were?

I hope you will not be offended by my personal comment!
You said your stomach keeps getting bigger, is it tender to the touch? Are you able to void your bowels? When you went to the ER did they do an abdominal CAT Scan? If they did not do an abdominal CAT Scan and your symptoms continue to worsen I would encourage you to go back to the hospital and ask for an abdominal CAT Scan. I don’t know if you can request a test like that where you live but hopefully you will get a real Doctor who listens to you and does more testing!
I will keep you in my prayers,
Lindy

Look into finding another Dr. Some Drs have bad bedside manners.
