Has Anybody Had To Deal With Chronic Debilitating Plantar Fasciitis With Heel Spurs?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for several years. It has been too painful to walk in recent months. Wear orthotics daily, plus foot splints nightly and during the day. Finally resorting to cortisone shots in my heels. Just not sure what to expect. Please help

My plantar fasciitis was extreme painful. I know surgery is mixed by a lot of physicians but it was not always the case in the 1980's. That being said...a reputable surgeon did one foot and a podiatrist did the other. I have faded scars now on both feet. Guess what? The surgeries fixed the problem. People tend to think the pain comes from pointed bone spur on the heel which can be seen in your x ray. It's over pronation of your foot. My twin sister did stretches and exercises and literally fixed herself. I was a teacher and on my feet all day. I am glad I had the surgery. It was like my knee replacements.....when healed there was no more pain! Good luck!

Have you tried foot exercises, like roll a ball or roller every day? It might help a little and costs nothing

Yeah. It’s been getting progressively worse for several months. Pain is preventing me from walking.

I had plantar fasciitis once! I couldn't walk for a few months!! I had to wear a boot, and a boot looking splint at night!! After about 4 months, it went away!!
