Severe Sweating

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Petawawa,On

I have suffered with chronic pain for 18 years now and within the last year have started severely sweating when I do any exercise. Even bending over will trigger it. If I am under stress it will happen too. I mean it is so embarrassing that if I try to do anything, my head will break out in a sweat immediately that is so bad that that it will totally soak a t-shirt and my pants that I have to change right away. I don't like going anywhere because it is so embarrassing. In a day I can change… read more

Is It Crazy To Have An Ablation Procedure For Male Chronic Pelvic Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Abiquiu, NM

I've had chronic pelvic pain for going on 20 years now, and it is fairly well controlled (with the usual problems) with pain medication. But my pain management doctor keeps pressuring me to see a spinal pain specialist to inquire about her doing a nerve ablation (nerve-killing) procedure for the pain. I feel very iffy about this. I've heard that the pain will resume in 6 months even with the procedure, and that I would need to have this done every six months anyhow, and there could be all kinds… read more

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hemet, CA

My surgeon said he’ll try his best. Has anyone gone through a knee replacement where they don’t cut the tendons, they move them out of the way? Also, has anyone ever had a surgeon tell you that “he’ll do his best”? Should I be worried?

Anyone Else Experience Heartburn And Intense Sweating/feeling Hot When Late On Dose Of Gabapentin?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Latrobe, PA

I am on gabapentin at quite a large dose, 300mg twice during the day and 600 at night before bed. I noticed that if I am even an hour late on a dose I will experience heartburn and awful sweating, on some occasions when I am set to take it in the morning and my alarm didn't go off and I overslept, I would and still will wake up with tremendous heartburn and will have been so hot and sweating so badly that I will literally have to shower and change the bed sheets😱! I try not to be late on it… read more

I was diagnosed at 4 with Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis, developed fibromyalgia in early 20's and now also have stage 3 COPD. I live in Ks and had a great pain management Dr. Then around may of 2018 I was notified that due to upcoming changes to Medicaid they couldn't continue to treat me!
