I Was Wondering If Anyone Else Is Having Issues Trying To Find Doctors That Do Pain Management That Are Willing To Accept Medicaid Patients?

I was diagnosed at 4 with Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis, developed fibromyalgia in early 20's and now also have stage 3 COPD. I live in Ks and had a great pain management Dr. Then around may of 2018 I was notified that due to upcoming changes to Medicaid they couldn't continue to treat me! I'm on opiate pain meds, I've tried all the different types of shots and injections and they either don't work or they inflame my fibromyalgia! With the help of my Insurance rep I contacted every pain… read more

Call Benefits office for Medicaid and Medicare. Ask for referrals. Or Goggle it. I have fibromyalgia and totally understand your situation. It is horrible and unbearable some days. Unless you have this disease or something similar, no one can relate. I have had it for years and I go to a pain clinic in Colo. and also Utah. Best of luck to you and all who suffer. I pray you find your answer. God Bless♥

I wish you the best of luck. I, too, moved 4 yrs ago and had a fantastic doctor. One of the nurses did not like ANY of the patients on pain meds, that we were all junkies and actually kicked me out of the practice!!! I was at that office for 10 yrs!! My doctor didnt even have the balls to tell me what was going on and they would t let me make an apt to talk to him!! They said if I keep calling that they will call the police and have me arrested for harrassment!! WHAT?!!! SO, where I live now, a young doctor, you know the ones : they want to set the world on fire and all pain is just in our heads!!! We are scum!! He took my Tramadol away (after 8 yrs) and then finally took my Percocet away!!!!! He was doing shots in my back that the last one actually did damage!! He hit something that now I am always in pain!! He left me with NO pain meds, after 10 yrs of percocet and tramadol (lowest doses.for both) he cut me right off!! No weaning or anything. He had doctored my pee tests so that is his answer to let me go!!! So the INSANE withdrawl lasted 3+ days and I thought I was going to die!!! JUST TOOK all my meds away!!!!!
