Time Management When I Have Limited Productive Time Anyway

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Huntsville, AL

Everyone says to have a schedule for time management problems. I read books by Stephen Guise, Mini-Habits and Elastic Habits, with different levels of success so you can get momentum when you have no motivation. However, darn it, I can't read other books because I'm either doing work, homework, housework, or "sleepwork." Isn't that what it's supposed to be called for us since we can't sleep with painsomnia, apnea, or whatever? Anyway, where's the fun work like making a baby blanket before the… read more

How Does Stress Affect Your Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Philadelphia, PA

I think the flare-up in back pain I’m having is only partially because of physical activity and partially from stress. How do I separate them and keep the stress from making my pain worse?😫

Unrelated, there needs to be a better pain emoji.

As far as baths and showers go, Dr. Teal's body washes, baths, and lotions all have Epsom salt in them. I like the one called Endurance. It's even a good shampoo. Has anyone heard of this?

Why Do I Only Get The Energy When I Have A Deadline, Especially In School?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Huntsville, AL

When I was getting my master's degree, I had a paper that was turned in at 11:57 PM, so every other paper was done in several rough drafts, taken to the Writing Center, and even taken to the professors when I needed a dollar to go buy a clue. However, now that I'm even older, and should know better, gosh, I can't get the energy unless a due date is rushing up at me. Right now, I even have late library books for the dang assignment. Did I even open them to see if they are the correct books? Yes… read more

Does Anyone Suffer From Internal Adhesions Which Have Inturn Caused CONSIDERABLE Pain And Issues Like Bowel Obstructions & Pelvic Pain ?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Demorest, GA

It is not commonly diagnosed but estimated that 1 in 20 women (in US) suffer from it but receive GI or GYN reasons for symptoms. Ironically most issues stem from multiple GYN surgeries. They DO NOT show up on any tests. Most diagnosed by another surgery or a good GYN during physical exams but the doctor MUST BE experienced. Would like to exchange issues on help, MD's & empathy and frustration. Thanks for reading on.

Basically this has been over 30 years, even on Fentanyl way back, effective but I stopped it thinking the next repair surgery would work:wrong ! Been living on Tramadol, Gabapentin and maintenance drugs since. Any suggestions on replacment for Tramadol ? In todays climate we all look like "drug seeking persons", WOW that gets old. Any help would be so apprecited. HELP thanks again

Did A Minor Pelvic Surgery Have A Knock On Affect On My Overall Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Kildare, IE

Hello all, a week ago I had a minor surgery under general anaesthesia in my pelvis. I’m not sore or anything.
Do you think it’s possible that it could have had a knock on affect with my general lower back and SIJ pain?
I’m really hurting when I was comfortable enough before hand.
