I Have Been Treated By Pain Management For About 10 Years In NJ. I Take Oxycodone For The Pain. Does Anyone Live In FL And Know The Rules?
I will be moving to FL in a few months and would like to have an idea of what to expect.
@A MyChronicPainTeam Member Lewis thank you so much for your response. It does put my mind at ease. Wishing you a good day. 😘
@A MyChronicPainTeam Member, I thought you (and all of us suffering) might be interested in a conversation I had with my friend who told me that getting opiates prescribed in FL is next to impossible. I questioned her on her personal experience and she told me she felt that she was treated poorly - because she had to provide a urine sample at her monthly visit, she was prescribed only a monthly amount of meds, there were no refills provided and she had to visit the dr to get a prescription refill. I told her I was surprised that she took such offense. This is exactly what the process is in NJ and I have no problem with it. All questions and comments are welcome.
Well I find that funny. I have never had any problem with getting any pain pill. I had several doctors say that they would give me anything I want. I probably shouldn't write that but its true. I find that they hand them out like a vitamin. Some doctors aren't too crazy about doing the medical marijuana, but there are private stores/clinics popping up all over that you can get a script there. Again, not real hard, just walk in the door.
I would like to find out how pain management works FL. I do know that I should be able to get a scrip for medical marijuana. I am wondering how things work with getting pain meds prescribed. I had someone tell me that I will never get pain meds prescribed in FL.
I'm from Jersey, moved to Florida 21 years ago. Whats the question?
