Why Do I Have To Choose Between A Sleep "schedule" I Can't Follow?
I hate getting up at 5 from pain or coughing or something, but I hate it less than trying to get back up at 8/9 AM to "start" the day and keep from taking a nap. Don't we need naps? We can't sleep well because we are in pain. Why can't we get a job that has irregular hours instead of trying for fewer hours? I tried looking for that WFH, but I don't have the required skills to work at my own darn pace, just when I'm semi-awake.
I am trying to do so, but that only perpetuates the need for naps, not the rest I can get after getting a job with later working hours and sleeping (and working on other stuff) on my off-days. Really, I did my best on 3rd shift, but I missed the sun in general. People, though, complain about daylight savings time, and get sleeping timing all messed up when it's light one "day" and dark the next.
Here's an addendum. I just read a sleep helper. Now, I've read that we should get up after 20-30 minutes and do something relaxing, but I've also read that if we should move the clock or get rid of it altogether so we can't see it and check it all night from our bed/pillow/whatever. So, we're in a dark room with no clock. When do we get up and relax if we don't know it's been 20 or 30 minutes?
Can you get the skills, be to work at your own pace?
