Anyone Gone Into A-fib And Vtach And Put On Heart Medications But Told Its Not Your Heart?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Cincinnati, OH

Have you ever been hooked up to the heart monitor at the hospital and going off showing you are in A-fib quite frequently then a few times showing you are in Vtach but they tell you it's not real? Well excuse me, but I feel this A-fib very much! They put me on metoprolol, flecainide, aspirin, and lipitor. I don't know why they put me on lipitor because my lipid panel was fine. They told me it wasn't my heart after doing an echo, which showed a trivial pericardial effusion, my tricuspid leaflets… read more

You have a pericarcial effusion, a leaky tricuspid valve, etc. and it is not your heart? Run quickly to another cardiologist! If you aren’t seeing a cardiologist for this, it is a MUST! I have mitral valve prolapse, and have seen some good cardiologists, and some not so good cardiologists. My current one is fantastic. I have been in tachicardia for 18 months now… since my back surgery. The hospital thought my pulse being fast was just a symptom of my pain…. We have adjusted my medication repeatedly, and he has not required me to come into the office to do so. I monitor my BP and heart rate for a couple of weeks, send a portal message and they call me with the changes. I do not experince the chest pain you do. I do feel my blood pumping through my whole body as if a tens unit was hooked up to me fom head to toe. Do you have the results of your monitor yet?

Blessings and prayers for you

That is how pain is...for me. I have bought mats, wedges etc...to get relief than all of a sudden the wedge or etc...is not as effective. I in turn have start figuring out this new area of pain. It seems like an endless cycle. Finding a sweet spot only to realize another pain. My experience nothing works for long. Though I refuse to give in to the pain. It has crippled me far too long and I am determined to begin again even if relief is minimal. After all it is a moment of relief correct so I will embrace those moments hold on to them and refocus and keep moving towards healing the best I can with my ailments. Sending 💚 to all and healing 🙏
