I have questions about the medication gabepentin. I’ve been prescribed this. Just wondering if this helps anyone.

I was prescribed Gabapentin three years ago for chronic back pain and numbness and burning in feet. It helped a lot but after two weeks I started crying and became depressed. I was switched to Lyrica. I find this drug to be incredible.
Good luck.

I was prescribed gabapentin, while in rehab. The hospital transfer I to facility by way of EMT (2020), the hospital already given me new med cymbalta the night before...after the 1st day on both meds I was completely in mobile. I felt paralyzed from hips down. Long story short...I researched both drugs, realize each had a common ingredient with similar factors. Big picture not recommended to take together...so I opt to continue with cymbalta and nix gabapentin. I since have discovered gabapentin has become a popular street drug. When I was a Pharmacy Tech in longterm care I remember preparing gabapentin for many of the longterm patients. Cymbalta worked for me in the short term. Though when I decided to go off it was more than challenging the withdrawals.
Sending healing 🙏

I found no relief with CBD, gabapentin, or duloxutine. Cortisone shots and prednisone help alot!. I know I can't take them for long but they help while I can take them.

I am on Pregabalin, which is of the same family as Gabapentin. I take it for sciatica. I have a strong dose at bedtime, and a weaker dose, breakfast and teatime. It works well for quite long periods of time, then, if I am too energetic, I get pain in my legs, and pins and needles/ numbness in my feet. The strong dose usually gives me a good night's sleep, but when the sciatica is bad, the effects ware off around 4am to 6am, and I'm awake with severe pain in my legs.
