Crazy. Backwards system. I had a similar experience over two decades ago. Had legit prescription from ER I just left and while filling it I was approached by some hippy looking guy who claimed I altered the prescription. Turns out I went to the K mart first and they didn’t have the medication so I went across the parking lot to Walmart. Both were behind the hospital I just left. A hurricane was coming and I just had cervical fusion a month prior. Everything I did was honest yet because there was writing in the script done by the pharmacist who even backed me up. This prick took me to jail. I was out within an hour and then spent a year in probation plus all the money they took from me and lawyer costs. Nightmare! I had adjudication withheld and that was my only time I had anyone accuse me of being an addict. I hate that guy whoever and where ever he is I hope he is miserable! One asshole who needs to look like he is doing his job so he used me and the impact on my life while he is clueless and knows nothing about me. Thankfully I had it removed from my record. I know people are targeted all the time and it ruins their lives with a record. It’s some of these doctors and most likely the law enforcement that has created this mess. Do they care that it effects the people who actually need medicine due to unbearable pain. Fuck the system they can’t have me. I don’t need society! Amused2death. Sorry for your troubles. Look for a buprenorphine pain clinic if you can find one. It’s a very strong pain killer with different effects than most opiates. It doesn’t provide any euphoria therefore many drug addicts don’t use it like they do methadone. I take 2 mgs daily which is a very low dose and it’s effective. It is difficult to get off this drug and the clinic I went to actually asked me was I there for pain or addiction. I of course said I was a pain patient. Apparently the drug test the addicts. There are some tiff raft and people you can tell are using this as a back up to whatever opiate they still use but for the most part it’s professional and I’ve had no troubles over seven years. They wanted me to take 2mgs 3xs daily but I felt the same at 16mgs that they started me on as I do on my current 2 mgs each morning. Otherwise I use voltaren gel and alleve. Just an idea. It may not be for you but it’s helped me immensely. Hope you get help and feel less pain. Dave.

Unfortunately it is no longer controlled by the MD , whether ER or Pvt MD. RXs especially Opiods are controlled by the FDA as well as other non medical professionals. They keep track now of how many and what meds the MD is prescribed.

I agree this pain med criminal crap is ridiculous. You've been in er to often trying to get narcotics so that makes you a druggie not a sufferer , such a load of crap we can't get help for insane pain. Unreal what are we supposed to so go see a drug dealer. It sure does suck
