THC Versus CBD

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Calgary, AB

So i've been trying medical cannabis for a year now, more on the high CBD side with no relief unfortunately, great for anxiety though so still great. My question is, has anyone found more pain releif with THC if CBD didnt work? I am reluctant to try (more because of its stigma, husband is still uneasy just with the high CBD strain) but at the same time I really need something to get me through till my epideral steroid injection.

CBD oil works with legal THC, but both are necessary for the CBD oils to work. What smoking does is burn the oils and you inhale THC. But humans have thousands of receptor sites in the brain and body for CBD, as well as THC. The oil is a necessary element for the brain, joints, muscles, nerves, THC is the ingredient to calm, and in depress the brain. Burning it lessens the oxygen to the body, burning produces CO² with when carried on the red blood cells as it normally does with oxygen, the carbon molecules blocks the body from using the oxygen. This is an oxygen deprived body that uses cortisol from the adrenal gland which is not oxygen using. So smoking anything will only start COPD. CBD oil does work with 2100mg of full spectrum, organic hemp and coconut oils. One place.

Ontario Cannabis Store. You don't need a marijuana medical document.

I use CBD during the day and THC at night. Start the THC at a low dose and gradually work your way to a level that helps with pain and sleep. Like @A MyChronicPainTeam Member, I usually only take the THC at night because it makes me sleepy, but if the pain levels are high, I take it during the day. I'm using 4 to 5 drops, just enough to manage the pain and it doesn't make me high (I hate that feeling).

Welcome to our group where we understand and support each other.

I have use both THC and CBD. I like the CBD salve. It has no THC in it and is therefore can be used by anyone. I also have some THC edible honey. I only like to use it at night if I need help sleeping. I don't like it during the day as it makes me sleepy. If I were in severe pain, I might think about using it during the day.

Just remember only you know what you need. Hubby does not live with your pain. Jean
