I’m not sure who I doing your rhizotomy, but it seems horrible what you go through . I get them every 3-4 months for about 10 years at the pain clinic hear in wpg. No sedation, or fasting needed , just a ride home.
Yes it can be painful, and I’ve cried on the table . But now the Dr has gotten to know my back , and can do it with little to no pain. I’ll take some pain meds and rest for the day. After most procedures I would feel the difference in pain levels and function the next day, only sore from procedure site. Having rhizotomys gave some of my life back . I’m very thankful for it. Don’t get me wrong ... it’s no cure as I have pain in other areas also ..... but at least it gives me a relief from pain for a short while !
