I Need To Ask A Somewhat Embarrasing Question.

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Dayton, NV

Over the years by the time I got off work & was able to take pain meds and did all the dinner stuff etc, all I could do was take more meds & crawl into bed. As a result my dental hygiene suffered terribly.
I'm now faced w having my last remaining 19 teeth removed as they are not repairable, fortunately Medicaid will cover the dentures I don't know yet about the extractions.
Please friends tell me I'm not the only one this has happened to.

I developed a dry mouth from so much medication, and as you, I didn't take the kind of care I should have and a year ago when I finally went to the dentist, had 8,000 dollars worth of work to be done, they said the dry mouth lets the decay at night work overtime to destroy your teeth,
So if you have a problem with a dry mouth at night and constantly have to wake up to drink something besides water, you need to see your dentist as soon as possible, to check your teeth. I wish I had known sooner.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member I didn't know medicaid paid for dentures?? I know they do cover extractions. I know because each time I need a root canal all I can have covered is extractions, I now have one missing almost in front. it's embarrassing to me. it broke off eating a piece of bacon, little over cooked...now my daughter makes the bacon, she can do it better than me, I over cook them. I've never taken any drugs that make your teeth messed up, my problem is I never had a job that covered dental so I never went to the dentist. I have 5 other sisters all with white shiny teeth and I'm the poor one with messed up teeth. I'm very ashamed of my teeth and hardly ever smile showing my teeth.
