I’m a health male care giver to my wife, my stepdaughter, and now my mother. I don’t have much time for myself, but sometimes I need a release. It’s been a long time :(. Is it wrong to DIY?

Acupuncture. I have found like Physicians not all are created equal. Shop around and get a session or two and you should know. If they pressure for more they are not for you. Good luck.

Do People On Here Have Trouble Getting The Doctors To Understand Just How Serious Being In This Much Pain Is And The Toll It Takes On Us??

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Redding, CA

It just seems to be a pattern of either them not hearing me or their ego being so big that they think they know more about your pain than you do. I took a long break for several years from spine specialist doctors just because I couldn't take being treated bad and not listen to. I recently have tried to start going back to a spine specialist in southern Oregon but I'm already seeing the same pattern of not being heard. Sometimes I think it's because I'm on Medicare and they can't make as much… read more

RE: Weird Speech Impedament

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Surrey, BC

Hi there. I seem to be dealing with a weird speech impedament lately. Sometimes when I talk, my lower jaw jerks about, making it hard for me to speak. What could be causing this? Two years ago, I took a nasty fall and hit my head on the ground. Could this be the cause of the speech issue? What other things could cause this problem? Feeling frustrated and scared about this. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

A MyChronicPainTeam Member

I'm not sure if that would cause TD or not. I believe it's mostly caused by bipolar and schizophrenia antipsychotic meds

Does Anyone Have Experience Treating With A Holistic Physician Using CBD For Pain Control Versus Narcotic Pain Meds?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Milwaukee, WI

Looking to decrease/stop narcotic meds for pain and try using CBD instead. I would want to work with a holistic physician (I know pain management physicians will not use CBD) or any who could help in this regard. Any advice would be appreciated. Please provide info on a provider who could help with this. This is being asked for a family member, not myself. Thank you.

I don't know what state you are in but even in this less than progressive state CBD can be purchased in a brick and mortar store and there are many online varities. If you have the time research the… read more
