Thank you, let me share it is nerve root damage C5-6, C7-8. left arm/hand paralysis, some r arm too..reduction in function. The pain is 24/7 as I have artrisis in the area. I am on oxy lowest dose 5/day. It allows me to function and some relief. I have lumbar discs issues. I did do pt for years, not now as I am not getting out of my home to do so. I did have an ot who came to my home. She will have to come back soon. I have a home health Psych RN who follows my conditions. I have a high level of anxiety and depression. We are working on anti depressant as celexa is not helping much. I have a caregiver comes 4-5 a day. I am a youthful 70s and you cannot see my conditions so folks seem to not see my limits. I guess thats par for the course. These are the things i am working through. ty love and hugs kathy

Sorry to hear about your pain.

It is very complex to address some of our issues.

But I can tell you that I have had some success with Xanax just to keep anxiety down and get back to sleep. However, Xanax is not a long-term solution.

Getting your body moving as best as possible is the best advice I can give:
Diaphragm breathing
Posture
And getting your mind and attitude as strong as possible to fight your challenge.

If you have the opportunity to meet with a good physical therapist that could help a lot. After surgery, you can experience atrophy and other challenges that may be helped with physical therapy.

I wish I could say more at this time, but I'd have to hear more about your specific challenges.

You can write back and I'll try to help you best I can.
