Any Other Women Here With Chronic Pelvic Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
St Paul, MN

More specifically: pelvic floor dysfunction, hypertonic pelvic floor, PF spasms, vulvodynia, vestibulodynia

It's very hard to find women with this condition. How do you treat yours if you have it? What methods of pain control do you use?

See if you can get a referral to a Gyn specialist. Then ask that person for a Q tip test. It pinpoints areas of pelvic pain. Interstitial cystitis is misdiagnosed frequently, when it's actually caused by pelvic pain! I had my diagnosis at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Or call your area Gyns and ask if they treat your specific problems.

I had tried Thermiva treatments. It does not work, and is a waste of $$ in my opinion. What I have had great success with are pudendal nerve blocks, Botox. Best wishrs! πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

I have this problem alot.
My specialist told me it was Interstitial cystitis. I take elmiron 100mg 3 times a day. It's helps and have to follow a special diet.
