Looking for information on Hysingla. I’m currently taking 5 10/325 hydrocodone, oxcarbanezine, diazepam, and my pain doctor added Hysingla 20 mg. I’m concerned about drug interaction and side affects. I checked interactions and some are life threatening. Please tell about your experience with Hysingla. Thank y’all.

My pharmacist wouldn’t let me take a muscle relaxer for the same reason, drug overdose risk. I think I’m going to dose off or at least down on the diazepam. Just because I have the 5 extra doesn’t mean I have to use them. After some closer research I figured out some of the interactions were with drugs I’m already taking. I’m thinking if I break a 10/325 in half as needed for breakthrough pain and try to find something else for anxiety I should be ok. I know I have to be careful but I am getting almost no relief on my present pain medication and I can’t keep hurting the way I have. I guess I’ll have to be extra careful because I’m desperate for some relief. I was really hoping to hear from others on their experience with Hysingla. I’ve read good and bad.

I have never heard of that one. Call your pharmacist and see what the pharmacist has to say. I would not think your doctor will put you on something that would put your life at risk. Or have a drug interaction. Best bet call the pharmacist

It actually breaks down over 24 hours so you don’t get too much at one time. I normally take 50 mg a day of the short acting which comes out to a little over 2 mg an hour. The 20 I take that’s time released is less than 1 mg per hour. I think if the time released were just a little stronger then I wouldn’t need any short acting pills at all. I really hope this works out because it would be nice to have pain control with 1-2 pills a day instead of 5.

I am dosing off the diazepam. No one ever told me it wasn’t for long term use and I need pain control the most.
