True the problem is that the cdc just changed the guidelines for meds and have cut dosages in half. Leaving us with minimal pain relief. And they wonder why there is a herion epidemic!! I have list 3 friends from this very issue!! Good luck to you

Find a pain management clinic. They are licensed to give pain meds.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member I knew pain elevated BP. But that's very high. I'm sure it only makes you feel worse as well as scare the hell out of you. Losing a doctor for relocation or retirement is life altering. You're all the way back to square one. Just not right. There needs to be a scoring system for doctors and divided up by speciality. Their patients could rate them by factors. Pain patients should be able grate the effectiveness of treatment, medications prescribed, alternative therapies, etc. It would make finding a replacement or new dr much easier and take guess work out of the equation. I wonder how such a system could be implemented? My only suggestion is to try to talk to office staff of doctors you're interested in seeing. You'd be surprised what all you can find out this way. Hope it helps. Even if only a little bit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
