How Can The Government Legally Stop My Money And Tell Me Im Fit Enough To Work When My GP Disagrees?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bradford, UK

Im 26. Hemmoraged L3, L4, L5 discs and damage to the S1 plus tearing on the vertibrae of the L3-L4. Anf damage to nerves down loth legs.
Benefits been stopped. Government says im fit to work. Going to appeal but apparently i scored 0 points. So it looks dismal. What am i meant to do???

My daughter has just had her assement for pip after a good number of years on DLA with her autism issues, her pip came back like yours with 0 points. I suggest you ask for a copy of your assessment report, read through it and I'm pretty confident there will be loads of errors as in my daughters case and structure your letter asking for manditory reassessment and point out all the areas you disagree with and why. Then hopefully your manditory reassessment will re-instate your entitlement, if not then go to a formal appeal but a manditory re-assessment will be quicker first than a formal appeal. But ensure you ask the pip office for a copy of the report used in their decision. These are where most of the ridiculous errors are made in the first instance.
Hope that helps you a tad.

Regards

Andy

Get a lawyer, they are pretty good with those cases, as long as you have medical records, there shouldn't be any problems

It's shocking yet I know of people with butt all wrong with them and they get a good wedge of benefits angers me yet there are people with true pain that get nothing it's bad enough to suffer with pain 24/7 but be expected to go to work is beyond belief I got my ESA stopped and was told I was fit for work if I used a wheelchair I work in a care home have they not heard of heath and safety hope you all have a pleasant day xx
