I put in accidentally as an answer...

My right knee TKR was last July. Complications with blood clots, loss of range of motion and most recently spinal and SI issues have put a damper on my recovery. My left knee is being overcompensated which is worsening the OA already present.

How Do You Cope With Endless And Excruciating Pain Of Your Illness?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Kildare, IE

Day after day I try to wear a false smile, some days I just can’t and my husband tells me I don’t have to wear that false smile. I don’t like taking opiate pain meds but I really hate the pain more. My pain for the most part is unmanageable because nothing works. Meds take the edge off but they don’t last long enough
I suffer from endless anxiety and depression but the depression isn’t as bad as the anxiety. I do believe this is because of my intense pain. I’m currently changing vortioxetine,… read more

13 Years After L5/S1 Lumbar Fusion...Collapsed L4 & L5...what Would You Do?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bridgewater, NJ

Good day back pain community,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is J...I am 42 years old...fell off a ladder when I was 20 and had a lumbar fusion in 2009 to fuse my L5/S1.

13 years after the fusion, the above two discs have experienced quite a bit of wear and tear. It appears that the L4 and L5 have completely collapsed.

My question for the community is, has anyone experienced something similar? And what have they done surgery wise? I think it would be clear to say that am beyond any… read more

A MyChronicPainTeam Member
