I would ask your General Practitioner for a referral to at least 1 Rheumatologist - 2 referrals to separate Rheumatologists is what I'd ask for - you'll get your first opinion & the second opinion is already in the works & that second opinion could make all the difference. A referral to the Pain Clinic closest to you might be helpful, different specialists together in one clinic, specializing
in pain treatment for chronic pain, difficult to treat or untreatable pain may work better for you - IDK what all your options are.

General Practitioners are great, but they don't specialize in any particular area of medicine, they can diagnose & treat most health conditions, Overall Health Management, Routine Medical Care, Basic Diagnosing, Coordinating Patients by Referring Patients to
the Proper Specialists, Treatments,& Prescribe the needed Rx's

There are so many specialists for the different parts of our body
Like :

Opthalmologist ~ Treats Eyes

Oncologist ~ Treats Cancer

Rheumatologist ~ Internist/Internal Medicine for arthritis, diseases of joints, muscles bones, inflammatory & autoimmune conditions

Pediatrician ~ health of Infants, Children, Adolescents & Young Adults

Podiatrist ~ Feet & Toes

Neurologist ~ Brain, Spinal Cord & Nerves

May I ask which drug you were put on that isn't working?

I hope you get some help & feel better soon

Dee. Have you tried CBD. If it didn’t help you- you need to double your dose.. or more. I just put myself on a vit regimen. It will probably take a month to see if it works. I believe there are certain meds that might help. I would think about going to another Dr or maybe a Dr that deals with arthritis. I’m having a bad time to. Had a MRI and the arthritis has increased! But the CBD does help some. If I come up with anything else I will let you know. Sending you hugs and prayers ❤️🙏❤️
