Do You Believe Pain Meds Cause More Pain?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Several doctors told me that. My meds cut to the least. Now the pain feels like it did before any meds- i don’t agree with them.

I do not agree. I went of my pain meds for two months and was not able to handle it, I’m not back on them. I did this to prove to them I did need them and that they didn’t cause more pain.

No, pain meds do not cause more pain. Doctors are liars and scammers and will do anything to keep their high-paying jobs. The DEA poisons their minds into thinking opioids are these demon drugs.

Broad statements like this should be avoided, and prescribers should know better. Just as there is no magic pill, even placebos show improvement in many studies. If you have a pharmacy that specializes in pain management, I know there is one in the Philadelphia, PA area, you can ask them for local physicians that are more open minded.
