Any Sufferers Of Chronic Daily Headache Of Unknown Origin Out There?

Pittsboro, NC

Any sufferers of chronic daily headache of unknown origin out there? My wife has had this diagnosis for a few years, after taking 10 to diagnose! I’d love to connect with folks in a similar situation!

I am so sorry to hear about your mom's condition. I don’t know what wisdom you'd like for me to share. You can visit my page and read a part of my life story. There you will find the part I chose to share here. The rest will be found in my soon to be released book.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member— my wife has a migraine, a single migraine for almost 12 years now. My mom was just diagnosed with a massive brain tumor. I’d like to hear more about your journey (selfishly/not so selfishly)… I’d like to drink in the wisdom you have inside.

Wow. Im really happy that your doctors were able to pinpoint the source and eliminate it. I could write a book on the plethora of tests and partial or completely wrong diagnosis. We get imaging done once or twice a year, hoping something shows… just to have a source that can be addressed or treated. Right now, it’s back to being all nebulous. Had another neuro Dr. Cycle this month too. Her longstanding neuro had retired. Back into the fray as they say. I remain hopeful. New faces also have untapped minds with fresh ideas…. So with any luck, 3 months from now we will have something more conclusive as to the cause(s). My wife can only stomach popcorn or toast. Hasn’t had prolonged sleep in weeks. She’s done the elimination bit, intentionally and unintentionally diet-wise, no relief after prolonged restricted diet either.

I used to have daily headaches. Thankfully, they stopped after I had surgery. I had a brain tumor which was seen on an MRI of the brain.

What diagnostic tests have they done for your wife? Additionally, she could be suffering from chronic migraines which is not diagnosed by tests but by a doctor taking a careful and detailed history; relating to the time of day/night the headache starts, any types of food that triggers it, duration of headache, sensitivity to light, etc, etc, etc.
