I am only ten months out (well, of the third surgery). I need to be careful but the surgeon said these pain twinges are normal because it's such a large surgery. But, before I had them it could take me an hour to get up and go to the bathroom. So much better. Hang in there!!

I'm ten months out on the third surgery. First one was basically all my back, second had to go in and clean it up because of infection, third one all the hardware broke at about ten months. Guess I'm not the best person to ask but it was, is better after each surgery. Good luck!!

I’ve had two back surgeries and both took about 1 year to heal

1 solid year for my healing. I still suffered pain until I had my Laminectomy 8 years later. It’s taken a year to heal from the laminectomy also

I had a laminectomy first, that removes a part of the vertebrae that were pinching nerves. THAT was a success! I've since had six fusion surgeries, some with better success than others. In 2020 and 2021, my spine was SOOOOOOO unstable and hypermobile that the surgeon put in screws and Harrison rods to stabilize spine. It worked for the instability but I have an unrelated pain in the same area that was not relieved. I have FOUR effaced nerve roots that can cause agony on some days. I got a rhizotomy but that didn't help. I take legally prescribed opioids around the clock.
