Why Do Some Doctors Stereotype A Person?
Right
because they think we all want pain meds and we are making this all up. Most doctors really don't believe we are in pain.
Lately, I been dealing with the struggle of finding a new orthopedic surgeon for my OA bone on bone both knees. After finding out my orthopedic surgeon has been giving me cortisone injections with out my consent. Thought I was getting 😪 zillert injection. My surgeon admitted when was asked...though had his office do the talking. He has not called or etc.. he was my doctor for decades. Challenging to find or trust another surgeon after experiencing 🤔 one that worked the books by saying he took fuild our of my knees(never did). Also, fudged the number of times I went into the office...found out when received my medicare summary. Now I left with the burden to report said surgeon or etc...after a month now I am at a cross road. With 3 ways to go...do I go straight(move on) or left(report) or right(move on and report).
Have a peaceful day 🕊
My perspective is that because they’re human and have world views, values as well as training that sets patients up to surrender their power and inner wisdom to a virtual stranger. This creates an “imperfect storm,” where doctors believe that they know their patients better than the patients know themselves. Unfortunately, I believed this to a great extent for many years, until, for me it was almost fatal. Thanks for the great question.
