I Had Anterior Discectomy And Fusion. C3 Through C7 With Plates And Screws In March Of This Year. 6 Months Later The Pain Is Still Bad.

An MRI from last month shows that I now blew out the disc at c2-c3 and c7-t1 with c5-c6 and c5-c6 having gotten worse since surgery. The surgeon handed me off to a pain specialist. I'm thinking of getting a lawyer. Neither will prescribe me anything for pain at all. I have never in my life thought of suicide, but now it seems like the most viable solution

Hello Gary! Welcome to the community. I’m so sorry for the pain you’re still in after your surgery. I too had a bad spine surgery in 2014 which I’m still in pain from. The doctors just don’t believe that we can still be in pain after they “fix” us. It’s so sad to say the least. It’s so important to be your own advocate or have someone who can advocate for you to get you the pain relief you need. Pain changes us, especially chronic pain. If you feel like you’re having bad thoughts please reach out to a therapist for help. I know it sounds cliche but if anything they can hear you out. I am praying your pain goes away. Please take care.

The chronic pain Dr should not even hesitate to give you pain medication. The same thing happened to me. Just a different surgery on my lower back.
Soft hugs
