Roommate Taught About Chronic Pain

I had a roommate that I tried several times to explain what nerve pain was and how it effected you
He of course thought I was exaggerating, then one day at work he took a tumble and hurt his arm. Fast forward a few months ends up he did damage and now required surgery. They informed him that they would be working close to nerves and asked if he would like a nerve blocker prior to the surgery. Big strong guy says no, I smile at the doctor and say yes he would. I would never wish nerve pain on anyone, but there are days that ibeish people, esp. my Dr.s, could walk a day in my shoes with the pain that I have. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas & a Happy & Blessed 2021

Sure does. I know it’s mean but how I loved it. I then pointed out that he could have been in that much pain as soon as he woke from surgery might have been better but the drive home would have been hell for me.
