Do Any Of You Experience Night Sweats?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'll wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat, my pillow soaked and my clothing sticking to me. In so much pain it feels like I'm dying. This can't be normal for M.A.S. or can it?

I would highly recommend getting your thyroid and all hormone levels checked out. I went through sonething similar when they were adjusting my hormones after my complete hysterectomy. I also suffer from hypothyroidism and this can be a symptom too. Better to be safe and have these things checked out.

I sleep with 2 fans in my room, a window ac. I have to sleep with my room cold. But at times the cold is too much. I don't like socks on my feet. I keep my heating pad on side my bed for my back and only sleep in thin night gowns. I need to be able to move and breath and not feel smothered while I try to sleep.

I ha e this and haven't been able to figure it out. Often sleep without covers. However, I also sweat like crazy during the day. Even making lunch makes me sweat do much my clothes get soaked. I feel like I've run a marathon.

Yes I have the very same problem. It has gotten progressively worse since 1991. I had a total hysterectomy after my daughter's first birthday party. I was 34 and I still have it but not as bad as in the 90's. I use black cohosh and evening primrose oil once a day and really helps. I still get warm but no need to shower in the middle of the night. So for the last 28 years I am warm at night but just get up to help my daughter get drink then just head back to sleep.
