Swollen Foot...

I have been fighting various symptoms in my left leg for over 2 years. First it was muscle spasms in left thigh which became one giant charley horse. Then came lightening bolts in knee and an electric drill in calf. Entire leg, including foot, now feels tight with pins & needles sensation. A week ago I woke to my left foot being badly swollen.

Three months after surgery at L2/3 last year, I was told that level needed a fusion. L3/4 had been fused in 2015. L4/5 has been… read more

Ask you’re doctor(s) about common:usual side effects of your meds. Many meds have that effect

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member For my CRPS I just see a pain specialist that has knowledge and has treated CRPS people. I basically interviewed him I asked how many has he treated. how many does he treat now. what different Options do you have and preformed for CRPS. What he would suggest for my case. You want to get a doctor that has alot of knowledge about CRPS and different treatments. I had a doctor that said she knew about CRPS. Come to find out she didnt even know what it is. Thats when I started to interview doctors. Also there is no test that you can take to say yes you have CRPS or no you dont. Read about it there is no cure for it yet. If you have any other question please feel free to ask me ok. Hope you had a low pain dayπŸ˜‰

I had surgery in the late 90's to repair a cervical disk which was herniating inward. The repair was successful but some damage had been done to the spinal cord and I was told I would probably have neuropathy in my lower body, especially on the left side. I do have the pins and needles in both legs but it's worse in the left leg. I also have more trouble with leg and foot cramps on that side, and my left ankle often swells, not a lot but enough to make my cardiologist take note. He thinks the swelling is from fluid retention caused by my diet and won't believe me when I try to tell him it's from the cord damage. Given your several back surgeries, I think this might be a possible factor in your leg problems. One thing you should do is have your doctor check to make sure you have a good ankle pulse on that side to rule out a blockage in that leg. I am going to make an appointment with a vascular surgeon to have my varicose veins evaluated and see if that is part of my problem so you might consider that if you have varicose veins. I wish you the best in your detective work!

I don't have any idea what could be causing your foot to be swollen. it could very well have to do with your back issues and nerves in the leg along with circulation issues.
