Anybody Ever Had A Taped Achilles Tendon Before ??
Just wondering if anyone out there has had an injured Achilles tendon , very painful Dr taped it but it needs to be taped every 1-2 days I.cant do it myself gotta wait a month for physical therapy and I been having foot and ankle pain since January , I hope I don't need surgery .. I am using a strassburg sock and orthotic insole really wanna walk again , I hope I be alright ....🙏
You will, it needs sooked in Epsom salts twice a day, bet a band that look like plastic that stretches and gently stretch the bands, roll a water bottle full with frozen water and ice it for twenty minutes several times a day. There is and amino acid Taurine that helps with muscles. Take magnesium, calcium, and zinc to help with healing
Is it plantar fascitis? I had that and it is very painful. I went to rehab and they did deep massage and then used ultrasound which helped. I also was given stretching exercises. Then I fell and broke my ribs so I had to stop for awhile. I tried freezing a water bottle and rolling my foot on that and it helps.
Pain, pain...good luck Dear
I have not had tape but I did have physical therapy. They said to freeze a bottle of water and roll it with your feet. Also stretching your foot and legs.
I have cerebral palsy & had my Achilles cut & stretched surgically. VERY painful! All tendon pain is pretty bad, actually. Why cant they use an Una boot or a splint? The taping would be fine if you could do it yourself, but you can`t! They casted me after the surgery, but it was back in the 60s. They casted me for EVERYthing! Lol. Rest it as much as possible! I feel for you, for sure!
I'm Set To Have Surgery Soon. What To Expect?
