Si Joint Dysfunction? Does Anyone Have That/ Thanks And What Is Your Treatment
Hi DebbieConyock. I have SI Joint problems on both sides. Hurts like the Dickens when it flairs up. The best relief I've found is a stretch that's designed explicitly for SI Joint flares. Lay on your back and cross your legs at the knees. The top leg at the ankle is supported by the knee under. Pull back on that leg as far as you can comfortably. You'll feel the stretch in the hamstring and the opposite SI Joint. Cross the legs the other way and repeat the stretch. Do 3 on each side 4 times a day. In a day maybe 2 you should feel the joint open and release the pain. Hope this helps you and if you have any questions please ask me. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I have a variety of problems all through my back. Including the SI region.
I agree with Cris about Voltaren. I use the rub-on cream out of the tube. I find it quit helpful.
I have a narcotic prescription from my doctor. It was quite high, now it is lower, and less help.
I have used a lot of Tylenol —relatively good for pain, But I have used it so long (years and years) that it is harming my kidneys and liver. (You have to use a lot to have those problems.)
