What Have Been Your Treatments For Chrnic Migraines
Ive tried about everything, amitriptyline, forecet, effexor, propanlol, toradol, naproxen, and botox.
I take topamax, it doesnt really do much justice anymore. Im allergic to triptains which includes imitrex, ive taken effexor and that was hell. Im supposed to be starting on amovig once all the insurance stuff gets all figured out
I’ve suffered from migraines for years and have tried just about everything including Botox with no help. I was finally put on Imatrex and have had some positive results. I take one at the onset of a migraine. It does ease the pain and shorten the length of the migraine, It’s been the best help I’ve found so far. I do also take 750 mg of Effxor a day also, I hope you find relief soon! Much love💜💜💜
What happened to make you have back surgery? Is that why you have migraines? @A MyChronicPainTeam Member
Im about to start aimovig, though ive been told it takes about 6-8 months for it work. Ive seen other treatments from research. Ive been on gabapentin for almost a month for my fibromyalgia. Honestly no difference. Ive almost came to the point of telling my neurologist that weve got to do sometbing more. Hes gonna tell em to give the aimovig a try for while. Though my migraines have stopped my from doing the things i have been doing already, to try to ease my fibro. Just irrittated and angry a bit.
I hav migraines along with vestibular migraines and started Verapimil this spring to prevent them. Has made a difference for me.
