RSD. is the most painful disorder/disease known to mankind....more painful than child birth...cancer...amputation without anesthesia....
It's been around for a long time since the civil war....
And there's still no cure....
If caught early you have a chance of remission....unfortunately. I wasn't diagnosed until 5yrs later....sending me on a journey I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.....
It starts in the nerves..the. ,brain stem(central nervous system)..it eats your bone...tissue...skin...killer migraines...IBS...then it goes internal to the vital organs... everything almost like a cancer....except cancer you usually die.... in the stage I'm in.....
It's relentless pain with bone loss and muscle wasting....

CRPS is Complex Regional PAIN Syndrome.
Type 1is RSD or Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.
..Type 2is CAUSALGIA

RSD starts as a minor injury some times by bumping your toe.

In my case I smashed my first 3 digits of my left hand with 30#of hydraulic pressure badly bruising them..this was the beginning of this war with RSD

A year later they did a nerve release above the elbow of the same arm.....causing type 2.....CAUSALGIA

RSD eats the nerves....skin....blood vessels...bones and anything in between.you lose muscle mass and bone density
I've been fighting it for 30 years now...
They have now changed the ranking on the McGill pain scale from 42out OF 50 to 46 out of 50.....

Hey dear...

I was diagnosed in1989....
A psychiatrist told me MDs were getting tiredand frustrated because there was no definite test for Fibro.....therefore it was labeled a waste basket diagnosis...

IBS....migraines...headaches...sensitivities to light..sound...scents...and mainly severe burning stabbing....throbbing chronic pain are a few of the symptoms I've dealt with...

These symptoms also due to CRPS....

Researchers are now saying Fibro is the beginning of RSD/CRPS.....

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member oh wow that is terrible. I don't understand the McGill pain scale but it sounds like it's extremely painful. I am going to research the pain scale too because I love to learn as much as I can. I wish you the best. Thank you!

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member, I suffer from fibromyalgia pain, it can be different every day! I ache all over most of the time, then when I have a flare it always goes to my lower back! It's incredible how much pain that we are capable of tolerate. I'm on 'sevella' it's a medication that is made for fibro, it does help, quit a bit! I've been in pain more than 11 years! I was finally diagnosed with it 11 years ago, I didn't know what was wrong with me for about 2 years before I was diagnosed with it! I thought I was crazy, to hurt as badly as I did, and the Dr didn't know what was wrong with me! After many blood test, he said that I had fibro! I was relieved that there was something really wrong with me, but I didn't know what to expect. It's been a tough road! Nothing helped before the 'sevella', and someone on this site told me about it! I'm so greatful! Hug's to you, thanks for listening to me ramble on!
