Cortizone Reaction
Yesterday I had a cortizone shot in my knee. I was up al night with fast pulse and pounding heart. I got 3 hours sleep. Is this common? I called the orthopedic dr and he said he never heard of it which I know is nonsense.it is listed as a side effect. I wanted to know how to make it stop,how long it lasts and is it dangerous. I also told himon my record to put "no cortizone "
Cortisone has lots of side effects....you can Google it.....a little bit of cortisone goes a long way...can cause lots of things. I have had seven cortisone shots in four years. No more for me. It can damage the ligaments in a joint also.

I would go to the ER as this is not normal.
I have had both shots and pills of cortisone. 1 Shot in my heel helped a heel spur. It makes me nervous. Won't take it again

I had cortisone in my tailbone area one time and will never do it again because of the same side effects you listed.
