This is very common with vertigo. I find it gets better with the change in atmospheric pressure. I use antibiotic ear drops.

I checked into a tinnitus self-help site as my GP won't help me. Going to try the vitamins suggested and hope for relief. I did read that pain meds could be the problem but I'm actually using less than before. Thanks for your reply!

I don't but my son has had tinnitis since he was 16
If it just started I would first check my meds as toxicity to any med presents with ringing in ears

I have had the ringing in my ears for years & so do most of my friends but none of us have gotten any help from our Doctors on that.

Antibiotic ear drops? Rx needed?
