Odd Symptom When I Have Burning Pain
Due to nerve damage in my spinal cord I have peripheral neuropathy in both hands. Whenever I have burning pain it is usually on my palms. My palms will also turn bright red and I get a small blister in one spot as if I have been burned. Has anyone experienced anything like this with burning pain?
I have not gotten blisters but I have on occasion looked a little pinker. However, that may have been from icing. I purchased an elbow ice unit which was similar to an elbow brace. Nothing helped me until I read up on natural cures. I too have nerve damage in my c-spine. It has felt like I was on fire while being stabbed with knives at the same time. Worst feeling ever! No prescription pain killers helped. I have done extensive physical therapy. I started eating an organic diet to reduce inflammation and taking 1300 mg of Organic Turmeric for pain at night before bed. The pain is gone, unless I overused my arm and fall asleep without taking turmeric. If I overuse my arm and take turmeric I am fine. I do not miss icing my arm for hours at night and crying through the pain. Nor do I miss the lack of sleep from being in too much pain to sleep.
I also have nerve damage in my spine- at C5-6-7 - have had a disc replacement at C6-7 and may have to have others done too- as a result i have peripheral neuropathy in my hands mainly but also sometimes in my feet. My hands also burn and I get blisters - I have to use a steroid cream to stop them. I have also used ice and heat mainly on my right arm / shoulder and my neck - and i don't miss crying through the pain- five years on from my last operation and i am just about in control of the pain now as long as i am careful- but i am trying to get fit again so am tempting the pain to return :( I went jogging last night and paid for it today!
I have Neuropathy in my feet and legs. My legs go numb and sometimes spasms so bad I cry in pain. I have been taking medication to help but if feels like a lost cause. I was switched to a medication that worked wonders but ended up being back on old medication because the new medication I was allergic to. I found that if I am in water they tend to hurt less. At least manageable. I do understand how you feel.
@A MyChronicPainTeam Member I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one getting blisters with the burning pain. Thank you for sharing!
I've never heard of that sweetie I'd check in with my dr if I were you about that something don't sound quite right
