Is Anyone With Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Willing To Talk With Me?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Sault Ste. Marie, ON

I have suspected EDS and am awaiting official diagnosis, but I am coming to find that I feel extremely alone in this as even my partners don't quite understand what I am dealing with. This has been a wonderful community of caring, understanding people, but I would very much like to connect with people who have been diagnosed with or suspect they may have EDS and perhaps learn more about living with it as even regular chronic pain tricks don't always help.

I know it's been awhile since you posted but I'm willing to talk.

How Do We Handle Trauma With Our Pain Conditions?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Newberg, OR

How do we ...... deal with traumatic events while being so sick and/or in pain.

8 days ago my significant other died from an abdominal aneurysm, age 52. It took me over 2 days to find out as no one thought to find me. Unfortunately after trying everything and everyone for answers, I googled him. Imagine the instant grief and shock to read his obituary online. I was already so sick and he was finally home from a very long recovery from a broken femur.

What Next??

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Pontypridd, UK

So after years of various pain meds at various strengths my body has decided to react against anything more than paracetamol 🙁. So my GP tells me all they can offer me Graded exercise programme and nothing else.
I’m already fairly active and have lost 2 stone in weight (1 more to go).following a modified diet. I try not to stress about the pain and try hard to keep things normal but sometimes it’s really hard. My son suggested cannabis.
Has anyone got any ideas/suggestions for me please

A MyChronicPainTeam Member

I've done cannabis for my pain in my head it does work with amounts of CBD and alittle THC but it made me really tired.

Has Anyone Had A Consultation With A Neuro Psychiatrist?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bristol, UK

* How did you feel during your
appointment?
* Was seeing them relevant?
* Have you been offered any further
treatment?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
My reason for asking is that my GP believes among other situations, experiencing a trauma can be a triggering factor for the onset of the symptoms of fibromyalgia & if this is so, whether I would be a good candidate for further treatment?

I would really appreciate your willingness to share your experience with me.

Thank you. I was needing to hear that. So many of these chat pages are not what they appear.

Depends on what kind of injection. for some the pain med in the spine can work wonders, others of us, not so much.
