Severe Pain

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Culpeper, VA

I've been in chronic severe pain since 2010 due to a spinal fusion & hardwear put in my L3-L4. Plus have severe chronic joints needing replacement. 2 Knees, possible foot surgery, and just had major shoulder surgery. Realizing how awful the pain was not sure if I can handle any more. I've seen a psych. doc and therapy because my future is so bleak. Have thought every day that I don't want to live. Also have issues with family ontop of it all/ what else could I do? A MyChronicPainTeam Member

Is It Common For Chronic Pain Sufferers To Have Other Chronic Conditions?

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Philadelphia Area, PA

CMS, the Centers for Medicare, encourage physicians to manage multiple chronic conditions under a Value-Based Care plan that pays them extra to "optimize care delivery" like setting goals and tracking them on an Individualized Care Plan. These programs, and others, are available through Medicare if a patient has more than 1 chronic condition and only 4% of patients are getting this across the country.

A MyChronicPainTeam Member

Absolutely!
