How Do You Help Young Children Understand Your Condition So That They Understand Not To Be Rough With You?
I have a two year old who like to jump on and climb all over me and it's getting to be too much. She doesn't understand that mommy hurts and even punishing her feels wrong but I have to do it because she isn't getting it. How do you help toddlers and young children understand that you are in pain and they have to be careful with their affection?
Tell them to be careful you have a boo boo when you see them near you. I've had 14 surgeries and yes it's been difficult but I didn't die yet. Keep loving on those babies 💕
Any One On Duloxetine For Chronic Pain, Such As Musculoskeletal Pain, Like Fibromyalgia?
I have fibromyalgia along with other conditions all causing chronic pain. I’m on a high dose of Gabapentin daily which I feel works well for the severity of it all but doesn’t seem to do anything for muscle weakness or stiffness and my PCP wants me to start taking duloxetin. I’m afraid of taking more meds though, especially when the long term effects of duloxetine are unknown. Is it worth it?
I never ruminated this badly before I had chronic pain. I wonder if it is the brain’s way of ignoring the pain by focusing on something else… Just a guess.

Why Do I Itch So Much Even My Arm Pitts
To add to what @A MyChronicPainTeam Member said, pain meds make you itch. So, if you are taking any narcotics, they may be the culprit.

Med Question
Hello all. Med question for the masses.
I am on lithium (bipolar) and Dilaudid (chronic pain). The pain med adjusts as needed between morphine, Dilaudid, and oxycodone due to tolerance.
Has anyone in a similar situation experienced any side effects or other effects?
