Comment about Duragesic (fentanyl). You may want to include that this drug is predominantly used as a sedative for a variety of procedures. The problem with taking this or using the transdermal patch can cause you to develop tolerance to all forms of Fentayl, including its uses as a sedative. Due to my being on this path for about 6 months, Fentanyl no longer has any affect on me for sedative uses (such as a cardiac catheterization - try that without adequate sedation [been there, done that]!)

I can't keep up with everything, its so upsetting my house is a mess and i can't seem to fix it. My home was never like this before i got sick. the stress just makes my pain worse.

I live in Sydney Australia and canabis is technically illegal here and medical canabis is under review and available only for certain conditions but apparently not for polymyalgia which my 85 year old mother has and is in constant pain despite many many attempts to give her various medications and visits to numerous specialists over the past few years. Approaching Christmas it would be nice to offer her at least an attempt with canabis bought off the street and turned into canabutter

Thanks to the Facebook page "Cymbalta Hurts Worse", more people are able to educate themselves about this drug. Personally, I think it should only be used as a last resort after diet, exercise, safer meds, and treatments have failed. I take that back - I believe it should be thrown out due to the harm it has brought to the lives of so many people. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 6 yrs and I have been sick since we've met. He knew everything from the start and he still wanted to pursue the relationship. Kratom is a plant being used for pain control. It is illegal in some states, but not in mine. I've heard it's good for pain control. Anyone here in this group ever try it ?

How can maintain a sense of hope when there isn't any left. I've exhausted so many different medications for nausea, vomiting, pain, I feel like a human science experiment. I'd love to know what experience people have had taking fish oil for pain . Good and bad. It is supposed to help with inflammation
I found a study recently where people with chronic pain on NSAIDS, took a very high dose of omega 3 fish oil over a few months. Many people were able to come off their Non Steroidal anti inflammatory medication as a result. Here is a link:
