Has Anyone Received Pain Relief From Taking Psychiatric Medication?
I've been on the psychiatric medication Abilify for a month now and I have noticed that I've haven't had this pain in my neck like I had before
I was wondering if anyone else had success with pain relief from using any type of mental health medication
I read online from the few other blog sites that some people have had success with pain management by taking small doses of Abilify.
I'm still not a hundred percent pain-free but I can definitely tell there has been an improvement.

Choosing A Pain Doctor, What Questions Do/would You Ask To Qualify That Doctor?
I was lucky and my first Pain Doctor was a master. Her skills were at instructor level. Now she is retiring, can't blame her but now must replace her. I had four other doctors treat me as she was on holidays or on course over the four years. I was pushed to doctor number four because he works Fridays when I have the best chance of getting the car. Deb was probably up Thursday night doing a brochure, will print it Friday afternoon to drop off to her client for their weekend

Ya, wish we came with an instruction manual
I have one other advantage, seeing the doctor's aura. I expect Yellow and Green (Caring and Health, Doctors colors). But does it change during questioning,… read more
I Am Wondering About The People Out There Like Me That Have Chronic Pain Plus Have Mental Issues. Such As Manic Bibolar, ADHD, OCD, PTSD?

Thank you Jaime27. It’s such a confusing shock when the people you have loved all your life turn on you. Heartbreaking.
Getting Together In Person, By Phone, Online Etc.
I wondered if people that we meet here that live close by ever get together personally for coffee or even connect in some other way besides just our connections here. it is very lonely when we are in pain and even though we have wonderful support here, there is nothing like voice-to-voice contact and personal contact to build close friendships. How does one go about meeting others that live close by?
Well I would love to talk to people different stories about drs. But I live in NJ
Question Regarding Maintaining Income When Pain And Illness Prevent Financial Stability
I’m wondering what others do when disability is denied (I’ve appealed and am waiting for my court date) how do you find ways to make money if you’re unable to work full time, or unable to work outside your home? I’ve seen various work at home ideas, but most require a computer and internet service. I have internet on my phone but currently no computer and no internet or WiFi in my home. Suggestions are welcome. Thank you!!!
God bless and have a great rest of the week!!!
I applied back in 2020.... I was denied..... which was very disappointing and discouraging for sure.... I should have fought... then I was told if I applied again it had to be for something else… read more
Can Someone Please Describe The Difference Between FMS Fatigue And ME/CFS Fatigue? I'm Pretty Sure I Have The Latter

How To Get Pain Management Doctor To Listen?
My pain management doctor doesn't seem to want to listen to me. I am on 30mg extended release morphine twice a day and 4mg instant release dilaudid twice a day. The dilaudid works well just doesn't last long, maybe 3 hours. The morphine doesn't seem to work well. She has had me on a couple extended release meds and they haven't really worked. I think it's because she won't go past a certain dosage. I was on 20mg of oxycontin twice a day as well. And she says the 20mg oxycontin and 30mg extended… read more
Has Anyone Else Tried Nucynta?
I've been through the wringer with pain meds, clinics, injections
Y'all know. I know you've all been through it too
I'm allergic to most anti inflamitories so pain meds have to be strong. I can't get a doctor in the entire city to keep me comfortable until my therapist gave me Tramadol a year ago. Upping the doses was fine but taking so many pills a day was ridiculous!
I spoke at length to my fantastic pharmacist that said I either need Percocet (which metabolizes too fast for my body and… read more
Want The Chance To Public Comment About Your Opioid Medication Being Taken Away Or Reduced During The War On Opioids?
I am extremely frustrated as I hear more and more of the media getting onto the anti-opioid bandwagon. Look closely people, the bandwagon is running us over! If you take opioids for pain, or know someone who does, please do the public comment on the FDA regulations.gov site. Here is the link. https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=FDA-2017... This is one of those opportunities no one knows about until it is too late. Please do this asap. We can't complain if we don't try to fight. Take it to the… read more
