Are You A Spoonie???
you know that phrase? “Out of spoons”
Or maybe you’ve heard people call themselves “spoonies”?
(It’s not the same as being “spoony,” an adjective which means “silly.”)
*Spoonie* is a noun, and folks with chronic illness use it.
Spoon Theory was created by a woman named Christine Miserandino, who used spoons to represent units of energy—the energy we expend throughout the day doing the simplest of things.

Has Anyone Had Their Tailbone Removed? (Coccyxectomy?)
I'm planning on having my tailbone removed soon, but I'd feel better if I could get some feedback from someone who has had it done or from someone who can somehow relate to the pain I'm having. This is the history of the problem:
I have had tailbone pain for 20-25 years. At first, I didn't know why it hurt, and I was actually told by a doctor at some point that it may have had something to do with a lumbar laminectomy (large scar; wasn't allowed to sit for nearly 2 months; still have low back… read more

* How did you feel during your
appointment?
* Was seeing them relevant?

My reason for asking is that my GP believes among other situations, experiencing a trauma can be a triggering factor for the onset of the symptoms of fibromyalgia & if this is so, whether I would be a good candidate for further treatment?
I would really appreciate your willingness to share your experience with me.
Thank you. I was needing to hear that. So many of these chat pages are not what they appear.

Has Anyone Tried “Tapping” In Terms Of Anxiety And Pain Relief??
By ”Tapping”, I mean “EFT” (Emotional Freedom Techniques) - Tapping theory is a combination of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.
I've read lots of really good things about it (in terms of anxiety, chronic pain, depression, limiting beliefs, dealing with loss, etc.) and have three books on it (including one specifically for chronic pain)!!).
I'm just curious if anyone else has consistently used it (my problem is my lack of consistency), and how it's worked for anyone who has.
I love EFT. It was designed so no certifications are necessary to teach it. Love that! Even a simple person like myself can learn it. Tap Tap Tap...
