Problems With Opiates

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭
williamsville, NY

I have RA and OA that affects all my joints and spine. My pain is not constant, but the flares are horrible. The only thing I can get for pain is NSAIDS, which don't work. What can I do? I had a problem with a pain doctor in the past, who had me on too much and I ended up in the hospital. Is it safe to take them again?

What kind of new things are out there for pain besides opioids? I take probably too much Ibuprofen and acetaminophen now.
