Has Anyone Gotten Pain Relief From Not Drinking Milk?

I have been gluten free for at least two years.
I drink gently pasturized organic milk. I know even this milk won't help me with the missing enzyme.
I am about to get allergy blood tests. I really hope I am not allergic to milk. I have always enjoyed full fat milk. My diet is already gluten free, and as Paleo, and organic as I can get.
Supplements and this diet have greatly reduced my migraines.
It’s funny you ask that question. I recently noticed that I haven’t been drinking as much milk over the last 10 years and I was wondering if that was maybe some of the reason my pain had gotten worse. A couple months ago I started drinking milk like I did as a youngster. At the moment I can’t tell whether it’s helped or not. I feel like it’s helping but only time will tell.
If I understand correctly we produce an enzyme when we are kids and younger that helps to break down the protein in milk. As we age we don't produce as much and have trouble digesting milk products. If I weren't in the middle of a senior moment I might remember the name of the enzyme. But I don't. Oh well! I had a lot of gastric pain and milk products were the first thing I eliminated. I have been lactose free since 1996. Not having lactose did help with some pain but not all so in about 2001, there was no test then, I went gluten free. My gastroenterologist also suggested eliminating nonsteroidal anti inflammatories. I was diagnosed with IBSD, bowel spasms, Diviticulitis and osis, and found that some of my pain disappeared once my diet changed. @A MyChronicPainTeam Member found a book on legumes, very hard to digest, and following some suggestions from that I eliminated peanutbutter. That helped. Diet has not made a difference in my pain from my back or from my autoimmune disorders but I'm happy with the long term effects of cutting both lactose and gluten from my diet. Nothing works completely and you do have to stick to that type diet but would suggest talking to your doctor prior to eliminating both the lactose and gluten from your menu.
Food allergies, such as dairy products, can cause all kinds of pain. If milk is contributing to your pain, try almond milk or lactose free milk. If you eliminate all dairy products for three months and you feel better, then you know it is contributing to your pain. If you don’t feel any better, you still may be allergic to something in the milk. Good luck identifying the problem!
I agree @A MyChronicPainTeam Member, I get severe indigestion if I eat too much gluten. Feel much better if I stay gluten free. I think for some of us, it's too hard to digest.
